The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) imposed a ban on realty major DLF and its top executives from accessing the capital markets for three years, for suppressing information in its initial public offering (IPO) prospectus and for sham transactions.


The State government has issued a special GO enhancing ex gratia for loss of life and compensation for property/crop damage caused by cyclone Hudhud. Announcing this at a press conference here, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Monday that the ex gratia for families of deceased persons had been increased from Rs.1.50 lakh to Rs.5 lakh. Grievous injury requiring hospitalisation for more than a week will be given Rs. 0,000. People in distress will be given Rs.1300 for loss of clothing, Rs.1400 for utensils/households and Rs. 2,000 per family.

Tata Value Homes (TVH), a fully-owned subsidiary of Tata Housing Development Company, plans to launch three new ‘Value Home’ projects in the Mumbai metropolitan area, the Delhi NCR region and Kolkata. These projects, to be launched this financial year, will develop 12,000 flats, and these will be ready in phases over a 7-8 year horizon.
